Life without social media is probably impossible in today’s lifestyle. The use of social media has become more of a habit than a necessity. According to research published in the journal ‘Computer in Humans Behavior’, one should stay away from social media platforms to be happy and healthy. Only 25 minutes of social media should be used for a happy life.
Research conducted by Germany’s Ruhr University on 286 people was studied. All these people were the ones who used social media for more than 1 hour a day.
According to research conducted for 3 months, people using social media for less than 25 minutes a day were found to be happier than others and their lifestyle had also changed.
People who are alienated from social media are less likely to smoke According to Julia Brilovskia, a lead researcher involved in the study, people became more active after using Facebook less. These people were found to be smoking less than before.
